Uniform

 Girls – Girls in grades kindergarten through 5 wear the plaid jumper of appropriate length with a white or blue turtleneck or white or blue Peter Pan collared blouse (long or short sleeves).  Plain navy knee socks or tights are to be worn in an appropriate manner.   Uniform sweaters are optional, but if a student chooses to wear a sweater it must be the maroon cardigan or v-neck pullover uniform sweater. 

 

An optional summer uniform is a navy skort with a white or blue golf shirt.

 

Girls in grades 6, 7, and 8 wear a plaid skort of appropriate length with a white or blue turtleneck or white or blue button-down collared blouse (long or short sleeves).  Plain navy knee socks or tights are to be worn in an appropriate manner.  Uniform sweaters are optional, but if a student chooses to wear a sweater it must be the maroon cardigan or v-neck pullover uniform sweater.  A blue or white golf shirt is optional as a summer uniform.

 

Skorts and sweaters must be purchased at Flynn & O’Hara.

 

All girls’ hair is to be neat and well-groomed; extreme styles are to be avoided.  One pair of small pierced earrings is permitted.  No make-up, nail polish, acrylic, or press-on nails, and/or expensive jewelry is to be worn.  No wrist jewelry is permitted with the exception of a watch.  Teachers reserve the right to direct students to remove nail polish.

 

Boys – Boys in grades kindergarten through 5 wear navy pants with a long or short sleeve white or blue golf shirt.  Navy socks worn in an appropriate manner are required.  A maroon cardigan or sweater vest is optional.  Boys have the option of wearing navy shorts during summer uniform days.  Boys in grades 6, 7 and 8 wear khaki colored pants with a brown or black belt, a white or blue oxford shirt (long or short sleeves), a uniform tie, and plain tan or navy socks.  A maroon pullover or sweater vest is optional.  Boys have the option of wearing khaki shorts with a white or blue golf shirt during summer uniform days. 

Boys’ hair is to be neat and well groomed.  Extreme styles are to be avoided.  Hair is not to be below shirt collar.

 

Gym Uniform – All students in grades PK4 through 8 wear a gym uniform of a navy T-shirt and gray shorts on their physical education day.  A navy sweat shirt and gray sweat pants is to be worn during the winter uniform months.  Sneakers are parents’ choice.

 

Uniform Shoes – Boys in K through 2 wear the  black slide-on shoe and Girls K-2 wear black maryjane style.  All students in grades 3 through 8 wear a tan dirty buck with a maroon non-marking sole. It is stongerly recommended that the shoe be purchased through Flynn& O’Hara.  Check the Flynn and O’Hara website to be sure you purchase the correct shoe.

 

Winter Uniform Days:

November 1 through April 30

Summer Uniform Days:

Opening day of school through October 31 and

May 1 to the close of school

 

Dress Down Days – Students may dress in casual clothes according to the theme of the day with a donation to a non -profit organization.   Dress is to be appropriate for the school environment.  Short shorts and tank tops are not permitted.  Grades 6 – 8 - No leggings,  torn jeans or yoga pants.

 

Uniform shoes must be worn by every student Kindergarten - Eighth grade. See photos below.

Sneakers are allowed on gym day only.

Sweaters are optional but the only allowable sweater to be worn for boys and girls.

Sweaters, ties, jumpers and skorts must be purchased at Flynn & O'Hara.
